How to view hidden NIC

Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, and then click Command Prompt.

At a command prompt, type the following command , and then press ENTER:

set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1

Type the following command , and then press ENTER:

devmgmt.msc

In this Special Device Manager Window; on the menu, click View then Show Hidden Devices

Expand the network adapter (or whatever category of device) and look for the device that needs to be removed.
